SIMUNE team has compiled static binaries for the SIESTA code (versions 4.0, 4.1 and psml-support) for various operating systems: LUNIX (Ubuntu v18.04, v20.04, Debian10), MacOS (Catalina 10.15.7 and lower), and Windows 10.

How to run SIESTA on Unix system
SIESTA-binary < siesta.fdf > siesta.out
On Linux and MacOS operating system you might need to run the command:
chmod +x SIESTA-binary
to allow executable permissions.

SIESTA Docker

Docker is a technology that allows to run SIESTA on Linux, Mac and Windows. WIth SIESTA-Docker users can start using SIESTA on a personal or desktop computer without the need to install and compile the SIESTA source code and the required libraries. Contact us to know more about it.

SIESTA v4.0 was released in 2016 under the terms of the GPL open-source license. Since then, various branches and official version of SIESTA have been produced, including version 4.1, and psml-version. Please find a guide to different versions of SIESTA at the wiki-project:
